Fruita, Colorado, United States
----- From : Joe Lansing - 2008-10-26
Joe sent us a map of Snooks Bottom. He describes it as "a public space with a pond of about 12 acres. It is directly adjacent to the Colorado River. It is a great spot to walk dogs, swim in the summer, watch birds. We went there yesterday and saw 3 hawks in the space of about 30 minutes. We also have seen Blue Herons, Canadian Geese, Magpies, and lots of small wrens. In warmer weather you can also hear Colorado River toads trilling. The drone of Interstate 70 is constant in the daylight hours. The Rio Grande RR can be heard a lot as well."

Wyspy Idaique
----- From : Marcin Siehankiewicz - 1988-00-00
Marcin, a historical cartographer from Poland, sent us this amazing map he made as a child (around 12-14 years old). It's a fantasy composition with non existent places. Marcin describes the shape of the country as similar to the southern Chile coast or the coast of Norway. The place names are all imaginary (a'la French) and the descriptions are written in Polish.

Wayzata, Minnesota, United States
----- From : Pier Gustafson - 2008-10-00
"My brother is a sailor at the Wayzata Yacht Club. He was to give a party to other sailors in his class at his home in Golden Valley. I chose the route between the two points which resembled tacking back and fourth. Initially I wanted it to be a group of sailboats, but changed to various steamships instead as I wanted the smoke to be a part of the composition. "In a map like this it almost is a written list of streets: "Take Eastman to 100, 100 to 395..."

Elk Grove, Illinois, United States
----- From : Tony Gonzalez - 2008-09-28
Tony writes, "I had to GoogleMap search this one to figure it out. It appears to be directions to the eye doctor that my younger brother visited in his youth. Apparently there were two decent ways to get there, hence the circuit, and I'm a big fan of the landmarks. Note the dots representing stoplights."
