Happy Monkey Day!December 14 2008

Yes, today is Monkey Day, a holiday celebrated internationally on December 14. We're big fans of all things simian at RTM; we even have a monkey on our team. In honour of Monkey Day, we gave Bob T. Monkey the day off. He headed to a favourite monkey holiday destination, the beach:

Bob at the beach for Monkey Day

Enjoy your day, Bob, and fellow monkeys everywhere!

(On the topic of Bob, we received an email the other day from RTM user Lauren who pointed out that, assuming that "Bob" is short for "Robert", Bob's initials are... that's right, RTM. Whoa, spooky.)

Remember The Milk for iPhone (minor app updates)December 13 2008

Since the launch of our app on the App Store last month, we've released several new versions containing a bunch of bug fixes and enhancements (full details of the changes we've made are available in the release notes, for those interested in the nitty gritty).

The latest version of the RTM app (1.0.3) is now available. The App Store on your device will show you when updates are out; we'd recommend staying up-to-date to take advantage of the latest updates to the app. :)

Now supported: Google ChromeDecember 13 2008
Google Chrome

We remarked 3 months ago how popular the just-released Google Chrome was proving with RTM users. At that time, we hadn't yet added Google Chrome to our list of 'officially' supported browsers (as we usually wait for browsers to come out of the beta stage).

As Google Chrome recently came out of beta, you guys have been asking us if we're supporting it yet. The answer to that question is "yes". Google Chrome is now on our supported browser list (yay!).

Seven new languages availableDecember 13 2008

Remember The Milk is now available in Albanian, Catalan, Esperanto, Lithuanian, Norwegian (Nynorsk), Ukrainian, and Vietnamese. This brings the total number of available languages to 31 (w00t!) -- thank you to all of the wonderful translation volunteers from around the world who have helped to make this possible! :)

RTM understands due dates and input in these languages -- so you can enter Monday, E hënë, dilluns, lundo, Pirmadienis, måndag, понедiлок, or thứ hai. If you'd like to use RTM in one of the new languages, you can change your language preference on the Settings screen in your account.

Your language not available yet?

We'd love to make RTM available in as many of the world's languages as possible. If you have some spare time and would like to help make RTM available in your language, please sign up for our online translation program (any amount of help is appreciated!).

Welcoming Artemy and MichaelDecember 3 2008

We're excited to announce two recent additions to the RTM team: Artemy Tregubenko and Michael Wolf.

Artemy TregubenkoMichael Wolf

Artemy (aka Arty, pictured above left) joins us as a software engineer. Artemy proclaims JavaScript his favourite programming language (we think it's pretty sweet at RTM too). When he's not obsessed with web standards, Artemy likes to cycle, watch movies, and share delicious Papa John's pizza with his friends in Moscow, Russia.

Michael (pictured above right, being attacked by a vicious kitten) also joins us as a software engineer. Prior to RTM, Michael spent several years at Ximian and Novell in a variety of roles, most recently working full-time on openSUSE. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two cats, reading, and noodling on his guitar and piano. Hailing from Boston, Michael currently lives in Mexico City.

Welcome, Artemy and Michael! :)
